The Spring 2014 edition of New York Fashion Week wrapped on September 12. The fashion flock did not disappoint. A lot of fuss has been made over the street style circus outside the shows. But I don't care what the haters say. Street style is the best.
Magazine editorials, advertisements – definitely gorgeous and inspiring. (Runway shows however are deathly boring.) But that level of artifice blocks the intimacy necessary for a really heart-stopping fashion moment.
Like, I don't have the hipbones of teenager from Kazakhstan. And my foundation isn't enhanced with light-diffusing Photoshop particles. Street style is about real bodies in real clothes, doing real things. Like riding a bike.
