A Cycling Corset - Bike Chic Outfit Ideas

I picked this copper-colored corselet simply because I love it. Just one problem: I didn't want to look like a member of a bicycle burlesque revue. (Although bikelesque seems awesome!)

However, I'm really glad that I challenged myself to come up with bike-able outfit ideas for Honey Cooler Handmade's lingerie.

Thinking of the corset as an extra-fancy decorative belt opened up some possibilities. My wool Donna Karan dress had just the right amount of schoolmarm to balance out the showgirl charm of the ribbon corset.

And the navy blue knit provides a lovely background for the dark peach vintage ribbon.

A dress of this length is tricky to ride in, but here's an easy fix. Just make a single knot in the hem to control any slack in the skirt.
