I adore metallic accessories. One of my favorite recent purchases were a pair of shiny gold wingtip shoes that I find myself sporting almost every day. Magical things happen to your outfits when you take a practical item (like flat shoes, or say, a bicycle helmet!) and reinterpret them in a stand-out finish.

I've been wearing my Gold Thousand Bike Helmet around town and I get so many compliments. The short brim provides just the right amount of sun protection and the elegant moto-inspired look suits my vintage aesthetic perfectly. I feel like a biking beatnik as I make my way around San Francisco.
