Is this the only cardigan YOU'LL EVER NEED?

You know how when you start biking for transportation, the advice is to always "dress in layers"?

It's good advice, but it means that you should pick your outer layer with special care. Through the years, I've tried everything from hoodies to shrugs to leather motorcycle jackets. With varying degrees of success.

Ideally, you find something that keeps your warm without being too bulky, and looks good both on and off the bike.

Enter Emily and Mike of Ilk Outerwear. They have made it their mission to fix your wardrobe woes. Currently seeking crowdfunding on Kickstarter, their Hepburn Cardigan is chock full of the thoughtful details that are hallmarks of traditional menswear, but with an understatedly feminine elegance.

I got to try on the samples and I really wished that I could have taken them both home with me! Is tailored knitwear a thing? In this case, it may be. The cardigan is comfy like a sweatshirt, but elegant in form, almost like a 1920s style collarless blazer.
