New Makeup - Lena Chavez for Laura Mercier
Today I went shopping for new makeup: more tinted moisturizer and a new foundation. I was pretty sure I wanted to stick with my trusty Laura Mercier for everyday. As it turned out, I got a new foundation, a new face, and a new friend. All because Lena Chavez happened to be working the Laura Mercier counter at Saks Fifth Avenue.
Lena is part of Laura Mercier's Artistry Team. Meaning she goes all over the San Francisco Bay Area helping to train other Laura Mercier associates. I was definitely in good hands. In fact, after she helped me choose my foundation (Warm Ivory) she generously offered to give me a full look.
I loved the pretty face she drew on top of my regular face! I had to rush home to snap these selfies.
Lena was an endless source of great advice while she was doing my makeup. Like, use a special eyeliner brush to deposit color between your lashes. Or use your lash groomer to soften the effect of an eyebrow pencil for a natural look. Her blog has great behind-the-scenes stories of the makeup industry and seriously useful tips.
