A: I kept seeing these half-moon bamboo handbags in the hands of style influencers and thought, why isn’t that on a bike yet? For my bike accessories, I'm always looking for something to blend form and function. Ideally, it'll be something chic enough to wear off the bike but rugged enough to withstand the rigors of riding around.
The moment I saw my first prototype strapped to a bike, I knew. It made the bike look so styled.
Q: You’ve been sold out for a while. What happened?
A: Honestly? I underestimated how many people were waiting for something like this.
I hate waste so I generally only produce a limited run. This last batch went faster than I expected. And since I’m a small business, it takes time to get the next batch just right. But yes, they are finally back!

Q: You’ve seen so many customers style this bag their own way. What’s been your favorite look so far?
A: That’s the best part, seeing the bag in real life, in real routines. Some of my favorites:

Q: What’s your personal favorite way to wear or use the bag?
A: I ride with mine on the front of my commuter bike, ideally carrying a bottle of sparkling rosé!
It fits my phone, wallet, sunscreen, a packable shopping bag… and there’s still room for a burrito if I’m lucky.

What materials are used in construction of the bag? To keep all the bamboo pieces together?
Would it be possible to make a half-of-a-cylinder bicycle front basket? I want it to be able to fit my helmet (after dismounting) because I am afraid that it will otherwise fall off my handlebars. And I want it to be able to fit my laptop, just in case. And of course, water bottle. So it would need to be very strong – 1.7kg water bottle/thermos, possibly 2.3kg laptop, around 0.4kg helmet… So 5kg capability, at least; preferably 10kg, just in case. With strong stainless steel frame – with holes small enough that water bottle, laptop, phone or helmet would not fall through. Bamboo is a nice option, but not necessary – I could sew a fabric liner if I had to.
