Last May, venerable fashion mag Harper's Bazaar decided to go around the world in eight outfits. This conceptual trip was accomplished by styling the lovely Julia Van Os in eight rather disparate looks. Of course I was captivated by outfit that honor's the model's Dutch roots. Velvet heels for bike-riding? I am all about that life.

Here at Bike Pretty Headquarters, it's no secret that we love vintage. However sometimes those incredible thrift store finds are just a little too delicate for life on a bike. Thank goodness for ModCloth, where you can find tons of vintage-inspired new pieces that are robust enough for two-wheels (and come in multiple sizes! What luxury!).

There's this girl.  Woman, actually.  Japan-born and based in London, with style so sharp it actually makes my heart ache.  If you've been reading this blog for awhile, you might recognize her. Imagine my delight to discover her on two wheels at the London Tweed Run.  She really nailed it with her 2014 look.  I finally got the guts to gush openly over her style via email. Lucky...
